However, the food turned out to be somewhat lacklustre. My "upgraded" soup (S$5) came with only two prawn halves, and a handful of small pork rib pieces (which had a tinge of that unclean "porky" taste). It was not too bad but halfway through, I felt like I wanted something else.
Even the accompanying ngoh hiang and prawn fritters were a letdown. Tough, dry and not tasty. Both the prawn noodles and fritters were sooo much better at the Blanco Court Prawn Noodles at 243/245 Beach Rd. Interestingly, that was the last place we had prawn noodles, and I was pregnant at that time too.
So, we left somewhat unsatisfied, looking for other food...
