What I Think of Sakae Sushi

Before, originally uploaded by Camemberu.

This is the "before" picture of the tobiko gunkan sushi that I picked off the conveyor belt at said accursed site.

This is the "after" photo of what happened after I put it in my mouth.

After, originally uploaded by Camemberu.

Yeah, I spat it out. *Ptui!* Something tasted foul in there. Mouldy seaweed? Bad rice? How could anyone f*** that up? For the second piece, I just scraped the tobiko off to add to my very sad and tasteless potato salad. The tobiko was a bit musky and briny, lacking the sweet scent of freshness. But passable compared to its shockingly horrible base.

Bottomline - I should have known better than to cave in to convenience. Sakae is NEVER worth it.

  2. I think something fishy about you. You take picture of everything before you eat???

  3. Fishy-thinking anonymous: Yes, and as you can see in pic above, sometimes I even take picture of food AFTER I try to eat it.

Actually, the truth is - not everything I eat gets photographed for posterity, I'm sorry. Not all food is blog-worthy.

    Anthony: you got it!
