I've always liked The Quincy Hotel. Located so near Orchard Road but nestled in a quiet neighbourhood just a few minutes walk away.
It's not only chic, funky and contemporary but really provides for guests with its all inclusive benefits. The free mini bar, daily breakfast, light meals and refreshments served throughout the day - are all so useful especially for staycations or if you intend to stay in a fair bit.
You even get free laundry services. If you're traveling from overseas, definitely swing for the complimentary one-way airport limo transfers in an Audi Q7/A5 or Mercedes E Class.
There's complimentary wifi service within the hotel, and two iMac stations at the ground level.
This boutique hotel has 108 studio rooms, of which 24 are deluxe. A nice king-sized bed sit upon a bold red plush carpet. You just want to dive in.
The bathroom has a wide glass window by the bathtub. There's a rain shower in there as well. The big mirror helps create a bigger sense of space.
The bathroom is also gorgeous. Clean and well-organised!
Oh yes, those Molton Brown bath amenities. Very lovely indeed.
Ample wardrobe space.
It's nice to sit here by the big window overlooking the city. So near and yet so sheltered.
These are the snacks and coffee/tea available in the room.
Free minibar, including the two beers!
Wow! I love how the feature light gets dramatic at night! The concierge who gave us the (very detailed) room tour did not tell us about this, but it was a pleasant find!
The glass-encased infinity pool is all the way up on the 12th floor. It's a bit cold though, so I didn't manage to have a swim.
But I must show you this...it's a peekaboo window on the pool floor that lets you see right through to the road below!
You can also see it from outside the hotel building (this is a close-up). Scared of heights? Don't look through it when you're swimming!
Well, if you like the balmy outdoor weather, you can always chill out here next to the pool.
There is a pretty nice gym here, with very new equipment, free weights and multimedia machines. Also, around the back, you'll find steam and sauna rooms.
Yes, all day refreshments from Dean & DeLuca and Modestos. Pastries, cakes, scones, cookies and muffins - take your pick. I like the nuts and dried fruit.
The dining area is really very pretty and peaceful. It's so relaxing, surrounded by greenery and water features.
There is also an outdoor seating area.
But as lovely as the hotel was, you can't resist popping down to Orchard Road. Take the road down and you'll reach the area between Lucky Plaza and Paragon.
We got back around 8pm, tired and hungry.
Thank goodness dinner is served til 8.30pm! Cold cuts, cheeses, salads, and some warm dishes - pasta that was delightfully al dente (oh what a great find for a hotel buffet), interesting prawn twisters (very addictive) and pomodoro dory fillet. Oh and jellies, mango pudding, and soft serve ice cream for dessert!
It may look like a small selection, but it was very satisfying! Thumbs up again for the springy firm fusili!
In the mornings, the place serves a buffet breakfast...and good coffee!
It seems there are more items for breakfast. No live stations but there's enough stuff for everyone - scrambled eggs and baked beans, bacon, ratatouille and hash browns, ham and sausages, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, breads, pasta salad, juices, cheese, kaya and jams.
A good hotel breakfast is so essential, don't you think?

Service at The Quincy is generally very good. We really enjoyed our stay here, and wished we could have had more time here. It's definitely one of my favourites now for staycations.
While checking out, we noticed the hotel was awarded TripAdvisor's 2014 Travelers' Choice Award for one of the Top 10 Hotels in Singapore. Well deserved.
The rates are pretty good value, given all the inclusive benefits. And for Valentine's Day, they have a special going on.
