No, no, no, these are NOT mocktails. These cocktails look, smell and taste almost LIKE THE REAL THING, without the hangover. It's great for folks who want to avoid alcohol but don't want to settle for meek alternatives.
The hand-crafted cocktail menu features 9 exciting creations (S$16 each) including:
Cracked Maison Jar (above left): Aperitif Rosso, rosemary & strawberry shrub, ohba leaf and spiced ginger beer. Kinda like a sour plum drink!
The Gardener (above right): pea-infused dry spirit, cucumber & dill shrub, fresh herbs. Delightfully tangy!
“Gin & Tonic”: made with London dry spirit, Indian tonic water, fresh herbs, zest. Refreshingly easy to drink.
Not So Old Fashioned: American malt, spice cane spirit, spiced maple syrup, orange zest and Amarena dark cherry. This is very light.
Other drinks include Martini Zero, Amaretto Zero, Spritzing, and Umbrella-ella.
Multi award-winning mixologist As’ad Isnin draws inspiration from complex botanical blends found in alcoholic spirits to a full sensory experience through placebo cocktails.
I really like this concept because I don’t fancy the ethanol taste or alcohol's effect on the body. And these placebo cocktails are also not as sugary as most mocktails tend to be.
Also, check out the bar bites! Spicy Korean Chicken Wings (S$18), and fried Brussels sprouts (S$9) with crispy bacon and homemade hot sauce. I could not get enough of the latter; they're so moreish!
